Attendant
We have a quirky local laundromat, and we believe a lot in the way it brings communities together. We also believe in $15 minimum wage and other progressive ideals.
The attendant role not that complicated of a job. You are the attendant for a laundromat. You'll be there to help customers having problems with the machines. Drop off customers will give you their laundry to do. You will be handling money, transactions, and cash. With experience, there will be opportunities to learn more about training, payroll, bookkeeping, accounting, financial analysis, P&L, marketing, social media, email marketing, etc.
When it's not busy, you'll be reading, using social media or watching TV or silly videos online, listening to music, or doing your homework.
You will get paid $15 per hour PLUS tips PLUS 10% of the Wash & Fold business that you wash and fold. We prefer if you were able to work 2 or more 6-hour shifts per week. We are open 7 days a week. The shifts are 8am to 2pm and 2pm to 8pm. If we get really busy, we might have after-hour shifts.

APPLY FOR OUR SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER ROLE
Social Media Manager
We have a quirky local laundromat, and we believe a lot in the way it brings communities together. We also believe in $15 minimum wage and other progressive ideals.
In this role, you will spend ONLY TWO hours a week scheduling daily social media posts. Ideally, you will be able to create enough posts to schedule 1-2 months of posts so that you can spend extra time engaging with our local community.
Again, this role is only 2 hours a week. It is not designed for a local experienced professional or someone who just needs a job. It is more like an internship for someone looking to build their resume.
We are located 1 block from St Charles and Jackson, so using public transportation should be easy. If you bike or take the bus to work, we will also buy you a monthly Jazzy Pass for unlimited rides on the bus, street car, and ferry. There is a desk here with WiFi if you want to stick around longer than 2 hours to study and do your laundry, which we will let you do for FREE (up to $10 per week).
You can also work from home, but it would be nice if you came by regularly to take photos of the employees and customers who give you permission to do so.
$15 per hour
Plus monthly Jazzy Pass ($45/mo value)

Total effective hourly = +$25.94/hr
