Our flagship location in New Orleans has been a laundromat since 1954, and it has been called Black & Gold Wash & Fold since 2010. It actually began as a tailor shop in the late 1800's, and the current owner's great grandfather, Charles Strite, not only invented the pop-up toaster but also had a long career in the laundromat industry working in coin machine companies, first as an engineer and later as an executive.

We have an ATM and a change machine. Come anytime during work hours to do your own laundry. Feel free to run your own wash and fold business, and consider making after-hour appointments!

Appointments can be scheduled for after-hours events, fashion shows, community theater nights, or music events. You can also make an appointment for private access to the laundry machines if you run your own wash and fold business.
