Since 1954

Our flagship location in New Orleans has been a laundromat since 1954, and it has been called Black & Gold Wash & Fold since 2010. It actually began as a tailor shop in the late 1800's, and the current owner's great grandfather, Charles Strite, not only invented the pop-up toaster but also had a long career in the laundromat industry working in coin machine companies, first as an engineer and later as an executive.
